As a child I remember how housewives scrubbed the doorstep and painted them with cardinal red paint and polish. This was a demonstration that they may not have had much money but their homes were spotlessly clean.

This is a lovely river. It meanders along with big rocks either side and plenty of wildlife to see too. We often played here during the summer holidays with our school friends who lived in Clydach.
